A Palestinian woman was killed and five others were injured on Wednesday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip despite an ongoing ceasefire, according to medical sources cited by Anadolu Agency.
A source at Al-Shifa Hospital said the woman was killed and her husband seriously injured when an Israeli airstrike hit their home on Al-Wehda Street in Gaza City. Witnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli helicopter fired at least one missile at the house.
Strikes reported in Gaza City
Earlier, three Palestinians, including a woman, were injured in Israeli airstrikes on two evacuated homes in the Shujaiya neighbourhood east of Gaza City, witnesses and local sources said.
Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of Shujaiya and the Zeitoun neighbourhood, while quadcopter drones targeted homes, according to the sources.
Casualties reported in central and southern Gaza
In central Gaza, an Israeli drone dropped a bomb east of the Bureij refugee camp, local sources said. Military vehicles positioned east of the camp then opened heavy fire towards Palestinian homes. No casualties were reported in that incident.
In the southern Gaza Strip, a Palestinian woman was injured by a bullet in the back when Israeli army vehicles opened heavy fire in the Qizan Abu Rashwan area south of Khan Younis, a medical source said.
Violations of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement have killed 1,422 Palestinians and injured 4,996 others, Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Tuesday.
Since October 8, 2023, Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others, according to the ministry. Around 90% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been destroyed.
