Sabah player Akim Zedadka said the goalless draw with Neftchi in the seventh round of the Misli Premier League was a fair result.
“It was a difficult game, but it was a good match today. There were many scoring chances. Both sides wanted to win. We wanted to win, too. But if you cannot do that, you must not lose. Sometimes one point is a satisfactory result. The draw was fair,” the full-back said after the match.
Zedadka also spoke about Sabah’s upcoming UEFA Champions League match against Czech side Slavia. He said the team would face a different competition and opponent after its league game.
“We will also go into the match against Slavia aiming to win. We will be playing at home, and I hope our fans will support us. I think it will be a great match,” Zedadka said.
The Neftchi-Sabah match ended goalless.
