Zakir Hasanov congratulates Azerbaijani Army on Independence Day

Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov has congratulated the personnel of the Azerbaijan Army on the occasion of May 28 - Independence Day.

According to the Ministry of Defense, reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the minister highlighted the ongoing military reforms and the high combat readiness of the armed forces.

The congratulatory message noted that the great achievements made in increasing the defense capability of the republic, as well as large-scale reforms carried out in the army, strengthening of social infrastructure, improvement of service conditions of servicemen, and conducted exercises have further strengthened the victory determination of the personnel. This also paved the way for opening new heroic pages in the history of the Azerbaijan Army with the Victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War:

"Under the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the brilliant victory won by our army in the Patriotic War and the successful combat operations, as well as the anti-terror operations, resulted in the liberation of our occupied lands. The solemn military parade held in Baku last year, dedicated to the fifth anniversary of November 8 – Victory Day, is an indicator of the daily growing defense power of our country."

The minister stated in his congratulatory letter that today, the units of the powerful Azerbaijan Army are resolutely standing on guard of our Motherland, making their worthy contributions to the large-scale restoration and reconstruction work carried out within the framework of the Great Return program:

"I believe that our army, remaining loyal to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Military Oath, and regulations, will continue to fulfill the orders and instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief at the highest level," the minister added.
