Gold jewelry valued at 4,000 manats has been stolen from an apartment located in the Khatai district of Baku. The incident has prompted an immediate investigation by local law enforcement authorities to recover the stolen property and hold the perpetrator accountable.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that police officers successfully identified and detained the suspect, identified as 47-year-old N. Mammadova. According to official reports, the suspect is a relative of the victim. Investigations revealed that Mammadova had already sold the stolen gold items.
Theft remains a serious concern in urban areas, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Azerbaijan frequently conducts operations to combat property crimes. Police investigations are currently ongoing to determine if the suspect was involved in any other similar incidents, and the case has been referred for further legal proceedings.
