Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has expressed his admiration for the rapid development and transformation of Baku during his visit to the Azerbaijani capital. Speaking at the Leaders' Summit of the World Urban Forum (WUF), held in Baku for the first time, the Serbian leader highlighted the significant progress achieved in the country under the current leadership.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Vucic thanked Azerbaijan for its hospitality and the high-level organization of the international event. "Every time I visit Baku or Azerbaijan—and I come here at least once a year—I see many changes and great progress. The reason for this is you, Mr. President (Ilham Aliyev), and the entire Azerbaijani people. All your work is carried out for the sake of the well-being of your people," Vucic stated. He further emphasized that Azerbaijan demonstrates a remarkable ability to adapt to global changes while maintaining its development trajectory.
The relationship between Azerbaijan and Serbia has evolved into a robust strategic partnership, characterized by high-level political dialogue and increasing economic cooperation. The hosting of the World Urban Forum in Baku underscores Azerbaijan's growing role as a global platform for discussing sustainable development and urban planning. This summit follows a series of major international events held in the capital, reflecting the country's commitment to international cooperation and its status as a regional leader in infrastructure and modernization.
