In July, the Analytical Expertise Center (AEC) conducted inspections of 78 pharmacies across Baku and other regions of Azerbaijan. This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the AEC.
According to the report, 55 of the inspections took place in Baku, while 23 were carried out in other cities and districts of the country. The monitoring activities included 51 planned inspections, 26 unplanned inspections, and one additional check.
The results of these inspections revealed various violations in 11 pharmacies. In response to these findings, administrative protocols were drafted in accordance with Articles 215.4, 221.1, 452.3, and 452.4 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Analytical Expertise Center, which operates under the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, is responsible for the state regulation of pharmaceutical activities. These routine monitoring efforts are part of the government's ongoing strategy to ensure the safety, quality, and accessibility of medicines for the public, as well as to maintain strict adherence to pharmaceutical licensing and operational standards across the country.
