Veli Gasimov says Neftchi looked stronger than Sabah

Veteran footballer Veli Gasimov has shared his views on the Misli Premier League Round 7 match between Neftchi and Sabah.

He said that although it can be difficult for teams to regain their focus after a lengthy international break, both sides played engaging football. According to Gasimov, the match was closely contested, with both teams doing their best to secure a win.

The veteran footballer noted that the break may have affected the rhythm of the game. In his view, teams need time after returning to competitive action to regain their previous pace and perform at the desired level as a unit.

Based on the overall course of the match, Gasimov said Neftchi looked slightly stronger than Sabah. However, the expert noted that a dominant performance does not always translate into a result and stressed the importance of making the most of scoring opportunities.

The match at Palms Sports Arena ended in a goalless draw.
