Uzbekistan is prepared to continue its support for the development and reconstruction of Azerbaijan's Garabagh region, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Uzbek leader made these remarks during the Leaders Summit held as part of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. Addressing President Ilham Aliyev, President Mirziyoyev praised the rapid pace of large-scale construction projects currently underway in the region.
"Under your leadership, extensive reconstruction work is being carried out at a rapid pace in Azerbaijan, particularly in Garabagh. Houses have been restored in the liberated territories in a short period. I am pleased to see new residential complexes, modern facilities, and infrastructure being built. I would like to emphasize that Uzbekistan is always ready to contribute to this noble cause," the Uzbek President stated.
The partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in the restoration of Garabagh has already yielded significant results, including the construction of the Mirzo Ulugbek School in Fuzuli, which was gifted by Uzbekistan as a symbol of fraternal ties. The 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku serves as a major international platform for discussing sustainable urban development, highlighting Azerbaijan's ongoing "Great Return" program, which aims to revitalize the liberated territories and ensure the sustainable settlement of former internally displaced persons.
