Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has presented the "El-yurt hurmati" (Respect of the People and Homeland) order to Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO).

The decree signed by the Uzbek President highlights Sheikhulislam Pashazade's significant contributions to the development of spiritual and educational activities, the strengthening of interfaith and inter-civilizational dialogue, and the promotion of peace and humanism. The award also recognizes his efforts in fostering friendship and brotherhood between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, as well as his work in training qualified specialists in the religious sphere and educating youth in the spirit of respect for universal values.
Expressing satisfaction with the strengthening of political, economic, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the extensive work carried out by President Ilham Aliyev in this direction and spoke about the alliance relations between the two countries.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the necessity of developing spiritual ties, highlighting that Uzbekistan is currently experiencing a period of renaissance. He pointed to the preservation of Islamic heritage, specifically noting the launch of the Center for Islamic Civilization and the restoration of the Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex in Samarkand.
Furthermore, the Uzbek President expressed his gratitude to Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade for the book "The Supreme Summit of Brotherhood and Alliance," which was recently presented in Uzbekistan. In turn, Allahshukur Pashazade expressed his deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan, noting that the country is currently on a path of high development and construction.
The Caucasus Muslims Office, led by Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, serves as the central religious authority in Azerbaijan. It plays a pivotal role in maintaining religious tolerance and promoting the country's multicultural values on the international stage, often collaborating with regional partners to foster inter-religious harmony.
