US President Donald Trump's special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, have held productive meetings in Doha, Qatar, focusing on Iran's nuclear program and regional stability.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing a high-ranking source within the US administration, the report was initially detailed by Bloomberg. The source indicated that the American diplomats engaged in constructive dialogue with regional leaders, noting that progress has been achieved in technical-level discussions involving Iran.

The talks come amid ongoing efforts to de-escalate regional tensions following recent attacks that threatened fragile ceasefire agreements. While progress has been reported, significant challenges remain, including the status of billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets and the management of critical maritime straits essential for global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met with the US envoys to discuss the US-Iran negotiations, recent regional developments, and the implementation of a ceasefire in Lebanon. Furthermore, reports indicate that a direct communication channel has been established between Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the US Central Command to manage crisis situations, a mechanism that is reportedly already in use.

The involvement of high-level US envoys in Qatar underscores the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address the complex security architecture in the Middle East. Qatar has historically served as a key mediator between Washington and Tehran, leveraging its strategic position to facilitate back-channel communications on issues ranging from nuclear non-proliferation to regional conflict resolution.
