Unstable weather conditions persist across Azerbaijan

Intermittent lightning and rainfall have been observed across several regions of Azerbaijan, according to the latest meteorological reports.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this data was released by the National Hydrometeorological Service as of 11:00 a.m. on August 12. Officials noted that precipitation in certain areas has been torrential in nature.

According to the service, rainfall measurements were recorded as follows: 32 mm in Gadabay, 27 mm in Balakan, 9 mm in Saribash (Gakh), 5 mm in Altiagach, and 3 mm in Goygol, Kishchay (Sheki), and Gabala. Precipitation of up to 1 mm was recorded in Aghstafa, Dashkasan, Shusha, Zangilan, Gusar, Jeyranchol, Shahbuz, Ganja, Naftalan, Zagatala, Oghuz, Khaltan, Shahdag, Tartar, Fuzuli, Kalbajar, Kurdamir, Sabirabad, Jafarkhan, Aghdam, Bilasuvar, as well as in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources regularly monitors meteorological shifts across the country to ensure public safety and provide timely updates on climate patterns. Such weather fluctuations are common during the summer season in Azerbaijan, where mountainous terrain often influences localized precipitation and temperature variations.
