UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the UK prime minister’s office announced the meeting.
During the meeting, London will announce that it is accelerating deliveries of Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM) to Ukraine.
“My message to the people of Ukraine is absolutely clear: we will stand with you for as long as you need, and provide broader and more rapid support,” Burnham said.
Alongside speeding up deliveries of LMM missiles, London will provide Kyiv with anti-aircraft missiles worth £45 million, the report said.
“The UK has already allocated £1.6 billion to supply Ukraine with more than 5,000 LMM missiles over the next four years. The disbursement of £10 million from the £45 million missile package announced today will also be accelerated,” it said.
The prime minister has also instructed ministers to prepare additional sanctions packages against Russia, increase military assistance to Ukraine and provide financial support, with the aim of delivering urgent assistance to Kyiv in the coming weeks.
