A vehicle fire broke out on A. Vahid Street in the Masazir settlement of the Absheron district, requiring immediate intervention from emergency services.
According to information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations to Operative Information Center-OMM, forces from the State Fire Protection Service were promptly dispatched to the scene. Thanks to the swift intervention of the firefighters, the blaze was extinguished in a short period, preventing further escalation.
As a result of the fire, the interior and engine compartment of a Hyundai passenger car were destroyed, while a nearby BMW passenger car sustained partial damage to its rear section. The remainder of both vehicles and other cars parked in the vicinity were protected from the flames. No injuries were reported during the incident.
The Absheron district, located adjacent to Baku, is one of Azerbaijan's most densely populated suburban areas. Local authorities and the Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently conduct safety inspections and awareness campaigns to prevent such incidents, which are often caused by technical malfunctions or electrical short circuits in vehicles.
