Two arrested over school principal’s car arson in Baku

The Interior Ministry said Fuad Ibrahimov and Ilkin Novruzov were detained and remanded in custody in connection with the case in Garadagh district.

Police operations are continuing after a Kia belonging to a school principal was deliberately set on fire several days ago in Baku’s Garadagh district.

The Interior Ministry’s Press Service told Operative Information Center-OMM that police identified and detained Ilkin Novruzov, an acquaintance who allegedly acted in concert with Fuad Ibrahimov, the suspect in the incident. A court ordered Novruzov held in pretrial detention.

Investigative measures are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the case.
