Two individuals, Mahir Abdullayev and Sahil Mammadov, have been arrested in Hajigabul on charges of theft.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed the arrests following an investigation into a burglary in the district.
The suspects are accused of stealing 25,000 manats and 10,000 US dollars from a house belonging to a relative of M. Abdullayev. The total value of the stolen assets is estimated at approximately 42,000 manats.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. By court order, both M. Abdullayev and S. Mammadov have been placed in pre-trial detention while the investigation continues.
Theft and property crimes are handled by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, which regularly conducts operations to maintain public order and security across the country's districts.
