Türkiye will continue to support people facing injustice and oppression worldwide and use all available diplomatic channels to work toward a fairer world, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said Monday.
In a message marking the International Day of Peace, Duran said the occasion served above all as a reminder of the situation in Gaza.
“At a time when the most fundamental human values are being severely tested in Gaza, humanity’s shared responsibility in the face of the suffering endured by children, women and innocent civilians is to stand on the side of justice, conscience and peace,” Duran said.
Türkiye calls for justice and peace
He said listening to the voices of the oppressed, placing human life above all other considerations and defending justice for everyone were essential to creating a more liveable world.
“Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Türkiye will continue to stand with those subjected to injustice and oppression wherever they may be in the world, make full use of the opportunities offered by diplomacy, and work for a fairer world,” Duran said.
Hope for a world without war
Duran added that Türkiye hoped for a world in which weapons fell silent, the rule of law and conscience prevailed, and no child was forced to grow up under the shadow of war, oppression or genocide.
