The Embassy of Turkey in Azerbaijan has extended its congratulations to the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of June 15, National Salvation Day.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the diplomatic mission shared a congratulatory message on its official "X" (formerly Twitter) account.
"On the occasion of June 15, National Salvation Day, we commemorate the dear memory of the National Leader of the brotherly Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, with deep respect," the statement reads.
National Salvation Day, celebrated annually on June 15, marks a pivotal turning point in Azerbaijan's modern history. It commemorates the return of Heydar Aliyev to political power in 1993 at the urgent request of the people, a move that stabilized the country during a period of severe political crisis and ensured the preservation of Azerbaijan's independence and sovereignty.
