The supreme courts of the Turkic states are set to establish a Unified Information Platform to enhance judicial cooperation and knowledge sharing. This initiative was discussed during the visit of a delegation led by Inam Karimov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, to Kazakhstan to participate in the II Conference of the Supreme Courts of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

Addressing the conference, Inam Karimov highlighted that the Organization of Turkic States has achieved significant milestones in deepening cooperation across political, economic, humanitarian, and cultural spheres in recent years. He emphasized that legal cooperation occupies a special place in this process, noting that Azerbaijan’s legal ties with other Turkic nations continue to develop with increasing momentum through high-level reciprocal visits and various collaborative initiatives.

The Chairman noted that the proposed Unified Information Platform will enable judges and the legal community to gain deeper insights into the judicial practices of other member states, facilitate the study of advanced legal approaches, and significantly expand the exchange of professional experience.

The event concluded with the adoption of a Joint Declaration of the II Conference of the Supreme Courts of the Turkic States. The document outlines key areas for future cooperation, including the digitalization of judicial systems, the strengthening of investor rights protection, and the development of the Unified Information Platform among the supreme courts of the Turkic states.

The Organization of Turkic States, which traces its roots back to the Nakhchivan Agreement of 2009, serves as a primary platform for fostering comprehensive cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries. By integrating judicial systems through digital platforms, member states aim to create a more cohesive legal environment, thereby enhancing regional stability and economic predictability.
