Turkey draw with Slovenia in Women’s World Cup playoff

Turkey’s women’s national football team drew with Slovenia in the first leg of their European qualifying playoff for the World Cup.

Kader Hançar scored for Turkey from the penalty spot in the 18th minute. Selen Altunkulak found the net in the 25th and 75th minutes.

Before the match, the Turkish Football Federation presented commemorative shirts to Didem Karagenc, who was making her 122nd appearance, and captain Ebru Topçu, who was playing for the national team for the 101st time.

The return leg will be played at Sportni Park Stadium on October 13 at 18:00 Türkiye time.
