Tsimikas may transfer to Turkish club Besiktas

Besiktas is continuing its search for a left-back to strengthen its defensive line.

Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media, reports that the Turkish club has submitted an official offer to Liverpool for 29-year-old Greek defender Konstantinos Tsimikas, who is currently playing on loan at Roma.

According to the reports, the Istanbul-based representative has also made an inquiry regarding Liverpool goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili. It is noted that Besiktas is making serious efforts to finalize these transfers and has reached a decisive stage in filling the left-back position.

Tsimikas, who has earned 47 caps and scored one goal for the Greek national team, has appeared in 11 Serie A matches for Roma this season. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the player's current market value is estimated at 10 million euros. Besiktas, one of Turkey's most successful football clubs, frequently seeks to bolster its squad with experienced European talent to maintain its competitiveness in both the Trendyol Süper Lig and international competitions. The club's interest in Tsimikas and Mamardashvili reflects a strategic move to secure high-caliber defensive assets during the current transfer window.
