US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he may ask European countries to release some of their diesel reserves in an effort to bring down fuel prices.
Asked whether he was seeking the release of European diesel stocks, Trump replied: “We may do that. They have some diesel.” He added that prices were coming down.
Trump also said oil prices could drop sharply when the war with Iran ends. “Iran will never have a nuclear weapon,” he said, adding that the conflict “will very soon be ending one way or the other.” He said oil prices would “drop like a rock” when it was over.
