Trpišovský: Sabah outplayed Slavia in midfield

Slavia head coach Jindřich Trpišovský assessed his team’s performance after their 0-2 defeat to Sabah in the second round of the UEFA Champions League league phase.

The Czech coach said his players had performed poorly, particularly in the first half. He said there were several reasons for the defeat and that the team would analyze them.

“We conceded pointless goals, even though we had a number of chances to score. We performed poorly in various positions and lost the ball too often. We came under serious pressure in the second half. But I can say that Sabah outplayed us in midfield. Our players are very disappointed,” Trpišovský said.

The head coach also cited his team’s first-half performance as one of the main reasons for the defeat and said they would review the mistakes made during the match. The game, held at Baku Olympic Stadium, ended in a 2-0 win for Sabah.
