Traffic congestion has been observed on several major roads and thoroughfares in Baku, causing delays for commuters across the capital city.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released a detailed report outlining the current traffic situation in Azerbaijan's capital.
As of the latest update, heavy traffic is reported in the following locations:
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Abdulvahab Salamzadeh Street towards Ahmad Rajabli Street;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the intersection with Izmir Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
- Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "Khirdalan" circle;
- Binagadi highway, from the "Azadlig Prospekti" metro station towards the Binagadi settlement;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, service road, towards the city center;
- Khatai Avenue, towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
- Denizkenari Street, from in front of Flag Square towards the "Azneft" circle;
- Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
- Yusif Safarov Street, towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
- 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Dilara Aliyeva Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
- Rashid Behbudov Street, towards the Central Bank;
- Azadlig Avenue, from the intersection with Salatin Asgarova Street to the intersection with Dilara Aliyeva Street;
- Samad Vurgun Street, from the intersection with Lev Tolstoy Street towards Neftchilar Avenue;
- Bakikhanov Street, from the intersection with Inshaatchilar Avenue towards the "Dada Gorgud" park;
- Bulbul Avenue, in front of the "Sahil" metro station;
- Koroglu Rahimov Street, from the intersection with Academician Hasan Aliyev Street towards Heydar Aliyev Avenue;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow throughout Baku to optimize urban mobility. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider alternative roads where possible to avoid significant delays during peak hours.
