Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, impacting the flow of vehicles during peak hours.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital of Azerbaijan.
According to the latest data, heavy traffic is currently being observed at the following locations:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street toward the "20 January" metro station;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, leading up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, in the direction of the "Koroglu" metro station;
- Mikayil Aliyev Street, from the area near the Oil Refinery toward the "Koroglu" metro station (up to the traffic circle).
The Intelligent Transport Management Center continuously monitors road conditions in Baku to optimize traffic flow and ensure public safety. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider alternative roads to avoid delays caused by these congestion points, which are common during high-volume commuting periods in the rapidly growing capital city.
