Traffic congestion has been reported on several major thoroughfares in Baku, according to the latest update from the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC).
As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the ITMC is actively monitoring the situation to manage traffic flow across the capital.
Current traffic conditions are as follows:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 Yanvar" metro station towards the city center;
- 1st Lakeside Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Airport highway, in the direction of the "Koroglu" metro station.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors Baku's road network using advanced surveillance systems to optimize traffic light timing and provide real-time updates to motorists. These measures are part of the ongoing efforts by the Republic of Azerbaijan to improve urban mobility and reduce commute times in the rapidly developing capital city.
