Traffic congestion reported on major Baku roads

Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on several major streets and avenues in Baku, affecting key transportation arteries in the capital.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) released an update on the current traffic situation, noting significant delays on multiple routes.

Currently, traffic congestion is observed in the following directions:

  • 1. Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
  • 2. Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, towards the city center;
  • 3. Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, towards the city center;
  • 4. Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
  • 5. Denizkenari Street, from the National Flag Square towards the "Azneft" circle;
  • 6. Yusif Safarov Street, towards the city center;
  • 7. 1st Gol Kenari road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • 8. Binagadi highway, in the direction of the "Azadlig Avenue" metro station;
  • 9. Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
  • 10. Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan continuously monitors traffic flow in the capital to ensure safety and regulate vehicle movement. Drivers are advised to take current traffic density into account and use alternative routes where possible to avoid delays during peak hours.
