Tokayev: Azərbaycan Türk dünyasında xüsusi yer tutur

Azerbaijan holds a special place in the Turkic world today, according to a message from the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the statement was delivered to participants of the "Turkic World Week" in Baku, an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

In his address, President Tokayev emphasized that the First Turkological Congress, held in Baku in 1926, remains a landmark historical event for the entire Turkic world. "The congress became a symbol of the unbreakable unity of brotherly nations. The ideas put forward at that congress have not lost their relevance today," the message stated.

The text of the address was read by Malik Otarbayev, an advisor to the President of Kazakhstan. The First Turkological Congress is widely regarded by historians as a pivotal moment in the cultural and linguistic integration of Turkic-speaking peoples, fostering cooperation in science, education, and literature that continues to influence modern diplomatic and cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
