Salman Mammadov, the administrator of the "Velizarofficial" page on the TikTok platform, has been detained for disseminating information that contradicts ethical norms.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a protocol was drawn up against him under the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses for posting prohibited information on internet information resources or information-telecommunication networks.
By a corresponding court decision, Mammadov has been placed under administrative arrest. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Azerbaijan continues to monitor digital platforms to ensure compliance with national legislation and the protection of public morality in the digital space.
In recent years, Azerbaijan has strengthened its legal framework regarding the dissemination of prohibited content online. The authorities frequently emphasize that while freedom of expression is protected, the publication of content that violates public order, ethical standards, or national values is subject to legal measures under the country's administrative and criminal codes.
