On August 7, the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula is expected to remain predominantly dry, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the region will experience intermittent north-westerly winds, which are expected to shift to north-easterly during the daytime.
Air temperatures are forecasted to range between 22-25°C at night and 30-34°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is projected to be 759 mm Hg, with relative humidity levels fluctuating between 70-80% at night and 50-55% during the day.
Across other regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is also expected to be mostly dry. However, meteorologists have noted a possibility of short-term showers and thunderstorms in some mountainous areas during the day. Fog is expected in certain highland regions during the night and morning hours, accompanied by moderate easterly winds.
Temperatures in these regions are anticipated to reach 22-26°C at night and climb to 34-39°C during the day. In mountainous areas, the mercury will range from 15-20°C at night to 23-28°C during the daytime.
The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors these climatic shifts to ensure public safety. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during periods of extreme heat, such as staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, which is standard practice during Azerbaijan's hot summer season.
