Temperatures in Azerbaijan are projected to reach 25 degrees Celsius on May 1, marking a warm start to the month across the country.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has released the official forecast for the upcoming period. In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, weather conditions are expected to be partly cloudy and occasionally overcast, but primarily rainless. However, there is a possibility of short-term light rain in certain areas during the night. A mild south-east wind will prevail throughout the day.
In the capital, the temperature will range from 8-12°C at night to 15-19°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure is expected to decrease from 765 mm to 761 mm Hg, while relative humidity will fluctuate between 60-70%. In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather will remain mostly dry, though some mountainous areas may experience short-term precipitation, lightning, and hail during the day. Occasional fog is also anticipated in various locations, accompanied by a mild west wind. Regional temperatures are forecasted to be 7-12°C at night and 20-25°C during the day, while in the mountains, temperatures will reach 3-8°C at night and 13-18°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service, which operates under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, provides these regular updates to assist the public and relevant state agencies in planning for seasonal weather shifts. Such temperature increases are characteristic of the transition into late spring in Azerbaijan, as the country prepares for the warmer summer season.
