Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has confirmed Ukraine's readiness for a high-level meeting with Russia involving the presidents of Türkiye and the United States.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Interfax-Ukraine, that the minister made these remarks during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. "We trust our Turkish friends in organizing a meeting at the leadership level. Therefore, we are ready for this meeting, including in Türkiye. I am referring to a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and potentially US President Donald Trump. During the Ukrainian President's recent visit, we conveyed this message to our Turkish friends," Sybiha stated.
The minister further emphasized that Türkiye continues to play a critical role in regional peace efforts and mediation. The Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where these statements were made, serves as a high-level platform for regional and global leaders to discuss pressing international challenges. Türkiye has frequently acted as a mediator since the start of the conflict, previously hosting grain deal negotiations and high-level diplomatic talks in Istanbul and Antalya to facilitate dialogue between Kyiv and Moscow.
