Claude Haegi, President of the Switzerland-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Azerbaijani leader being honored with the prestigious Zayed Award for Human Fraternity.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter expressed Haegi's satisfaction with the recognition of President Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia for their roles in promoting peace. "I have long followed your efforts to ensure a happy, prosperous, and secure future for the people of Azerbaijan through concrete and internationally recognized values, both during my time in Geneva and during my visits to your country," the letter stated. Haegi emphasized that the Chamber is working tirelessly to contribute to the economic development of the Republic of Azerbaijan, support the achievement of peace, and involve Swiss companies in the large-scale restoration of the liberated territories.
The Zayed Award for Human Fraternity is an international prize established to recognize individuals and entities making profound contributions to human fraternity and peaceful coexistence. This recognition comes at a significant time for the South Caucasus, as Azerbaijan continues extensive reconstruction projects in the Garabagh and East Zangazur regions following the restoration of its territorial integrity. The Switzerland-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry serves as a vital bridge for bilateral economic cooperation, focusing on sustainable development and the integration of Swiss expertise into Azerbaijan's growing economy.
