One of the individuals involved in the attack on the Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul has been linked to an organization based on religious ideologies, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya has announced.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing foreign media reports, the minister provided details regarding the background of the perpetrators. He noted that while one suspect is connected to a religious-oriented group, two other individuals involved in the incident are brothers. Furthermore, it was revealed that one of the attackers has a prior criminal record related to drug-related offenses.

The incident has prompted heightened security measures around diplomatic missions in Turkey. Turkish law enforcement agencies have intensified their investigations into the suspects' networks to determine if the attack was an isolated incident or part of a broader coordinated effort. The Turkish government has consistently maintained a firm stance against any form of violence targeting foreign diplomatic representations within its borders.

This development comes amid a period of regional tension, where security at diplomatic facilities remains a high priority for international intelligence agencies. Istanbul, as a major global hub, frequently hosts high-level diplomatic missions, making the security of these locations a critical component of Turkey's internal stability and international relations.
