A suspect has been detained in the Nasimi district of Baku on suspicion of robbing an acquaintance while demanding the repayment of a debt. According to information provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the victim reported to the police that an individual used physical force against him in a local park, seizing 106 manats and a mobile phone.
As a result of the operations conducted by law enforcement officers, 37-year-old Z. Taghiyev, who has a prior criminal record, was identified and taken into custody. Preliminary investigations revealed that Taghiyev initially demanded money from the victim as a debt repayment; following the victim's refusal, the suspect resorted to physical force to commit the robbery. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that investigations into the facts of the case are currently ongoing.
