State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads unveils digitalization plan

The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) has discussed a comprehensive roadmap for digitalization, the integration of artificial intelligence, and the development of an innovation ecosystem within the country's transport sector.

According to the "Operative Information Center-OMM", which cited the agency, these discussions took place during an online meeting of the AAYDA Management Board dedicated to reviewing the results of the first half of 2026 and outlining priority tasks for the upcoming period.

It was noted that this roadmap is of significant importance for improving the management of the road sector, organizing services to be more agile, transparent, and efficient, and ultimately increasing citizen satisfaction.

During the meeting, participants reviewed strategic development priorities, modern management principles, and the results of structural reforms implemented by the agency in line with digital transformation challenges. The agenda also covered work completed during the reporting period, ongoing projects, and key operational directions for the future.

Vusal Nasirli, Chairman of the Management Board of the agency, emphasized the importance of the state’s digital transformation policy. He stated that the application of innovative approaches in management, the expansion of digital solutions, and the further enhancement of service quality remain among the agency's primary development objectives.

The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and management of the country's extensive road network. As Azerbaijan continues to modernize its infrastructure, particularly in the liberated territories of Garabagh and East Zangezur, the integration of smart technologies and digital management systems has become a central pillar of the government's broader strategy to improve national connectivity and transport efficiency.
