A new documentary film titled "Halfway," a joint project between the State Security Service (SSS) and AnewZ television channel, has been broadcast on AnewZ and AzTV, exposing the involvement of certain citizens in international criminal networks.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the film details the participation of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan in human smuggling and illegal migration activities orchestrated by organized crime groups operating in foreign territories.

The documentary provides comprehensive answers regarding why these individuals were detained abroad and identifies the key figures involved in organizing illegal migration routes. According to the State Security Service, these operations are part of a broader effort to combat transnational organized crime and ensure the safety of citizens who may fall prey to human trafficking networks.

In recent years, Azerbaijan has significantly strengthened its legal framework and international cooperation to combat illegal migration and human trafficking. The State Security Service, in coordination with other law enforcement agencies, continues to monitor and neutralize threats posed by organized syndicates that exploit vulnerable individuals for illicit gain across international borders.
