Speed limits have been lowered on several roads in Baku due to weather conditions, and “slippery road” signs have been activated on electronic gantries.

The information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It said that, due to rainy weather, the speed limit on the Zigh Circle-Airport road has been set at 40 km/h, while the limit on all lanes of the Heydar Aliyev Avenue section up to the Mardakan Bridge has been reduced to 20 km/h.

“The speed information displays have been updated accordingly. ‘Slippery road’ signs have also been activated on all displays. Drivers are asked to observe the posted speed limits,” the statement said.
