The speed limit on certain lanes of the Zigh Circle-Airport highway in Baku has been reduced by 20 km/h due to rainy weather conditions currently observed in the capital.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided this information to Operative Information Center-OMM. According to the center, adjustments have been made to the electronic information and speed limit displays along the route. Additionally, "slippery road" warning signs have been activated on all digital boards to alert motorists to potential hazards.
The Zigh-Airport highway is one of the primary arterial routes in Azerbaijan, connecting the capital's center with the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Such proactive traffic management measures are standard procedure in the country to ensure road safety and prevent accidents during adverse weather conditions. Drivers are advised to adhere to the temporary speed limits and maintain a safe distance between vehicles.
