Former Besiktas midfielder Sinan Engin criticized Fenerbahce striker Romelu Lukaku after the team lost 6-0 to Aston Villa in the second round of the Champions League league phase.
Aston Villa scored in Birmingham through Manzambi in the 12th minute, Jackson in the 31st and 39th minutes, Barkley in the 68th and 72nd minutes, and Abraham in the 90th minute.
Engin also criticized Lukaku’s physical condition, saying he had gained weight. “Lukaku, what a disgrace! Don’t you see yourself? Don’t you look in the mirror? Brother, I’m telling you not to eat after 6 p.m., but you’re gaining weight. Hire a dietitian and a personal trainer. How was Lukaku able to score so many goals? Is this really the real Lukaku? You can’t fool us,” Engin said, according to Footmercato.
Fenerbahce will face Slavia in the next round of the Champions League on October 20. The Champions League’s league phase replaced the traditional group stage, with teams competing in a single table before the knockout rounds.
