Member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) have reaffirmed their support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran. The declaration was issued during the latest SCO summit held in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Bishkek Declaration, adopted within the framework of the summit, expresses deep concern regarding ongoing developments in the Middle East and the situation surrounding Iran.
The statement strongly condemns military strikes carried out against Iranian territory. It notes that these attacks have resulted in significant civilian casualties and have caused severe damage to the country's economy. The document emphasizes that such actions constitute a gross violation of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, posing a serious threat to global peace and security. SCO member states underscored the necessity of resolving the existing conflict exclusively through political and diplomatic means.
