Saudi foreign minister travels to Washington

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has traveled to the United States.

According to Saudi Arabia’s state news agency SPA, the minister will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. The talks will focus on US-Saudi relations, as well as key regional and international issues.

Meeting agenda

The visit comes as tensions rise in the Middle East and the United States continues engaging with its partners in the region.

SPA reported that Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Washington on Monday.

Saudi Arabia and the United States have long maintained strategic ties spanning security, energy, trade and diplomatic cooperation. Washington’s engagement with Riyadh remains significant for regional diplomacy and efforts to address security challenges in the Middle East.
