Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Richard Raši has officially invited the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) Sahiba Gafarova to visit Bratislava. The invitation was extended during an official meeting aimed at strengthening inter-parliamentary ties between Azerbaijan and Slovakia.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Richard Raši announced the invitation during a joint press conference held with Sahiba Gafarova. "Dear Madam Speaker, dear colleagues, I sincerely thank you once again for today's constructive dialogue and look forward to future cooperation and your visit to my country," Raši stated, emphasizing the importance of continued diplomatic engagement between the two legislative bodies.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia have seen significant growth in recent years, particularly in the energy and economic sectors. Both nations have expressed a strong interest in deepening parliamentary diplomacy as a means to support broader bilateral agreements and mutual interests within international organizations. This upcoming visit to Bratislava is expected to further solidify the strategic partnership and provide a platform for discussing regional security and economic integration between the South Caucasus and Central Europe.
