Azerbaijan’s para-taekwondo athlete Sabir Zeynalov has won silver at the Paris Grand Prix. Competing in the K44 under-58kg category, he advanced to the final.
Zeynalov faced Israel’s Asaf Yasur in the decisive bout. The Azerbaijani athlete was defeated and finished the tournament in second place, taking a place on the podium.
Azerbaijan is represented by three athletes at the Paris Grand Prix, which features some of the world’s top-ranked para-taekwondo athletes. The team is led by head coach Farid Taghizade. Alongside Sabir Zeynalov, Imamaddin Khalilov is competing in the under-70kg category and Amin Aliyev in the under-63kg category.
