The Russian Ministry of Defense has officially confirmed conducting a military operation against the port of Odessa during the night hours.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Russian defense authority released a statement detailing the scope of the strikes.
The ministry reported that the attack successfully neutralized infrastructure facilities used for the transport and storage of military cargo within the Odessa port area. Furthermore, the operation targeted a workshop involved in the production of spare parts for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as a storage facility housing these drones.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the strikes were executed using high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles. At the time of reporting, the Ukrainian side has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
The port of Odessa remains a critical strategic point in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, serving as a primary hub for maritime logistics and military supply chains in the Black Sea region. The facility has been a frequent focal point for military operations since the escalation of hostilities, given its dual significance as both a commercial trade gateway and a key logistical node for Ukrainian defense efforts.
