Russia and Azerbaijan review trade, energy and transport cooperation in Baku

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak met Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev in Baku on Saturday to discuss bilateral relations and prospects for further cooperation, according to a statement from the Russian government’s press service.

The talks covered trade and economic cooperation in several areas, including industry, energy, transport and logistics.

Invitation to Russian Energy Week

During the meeting, Novak invited his Azerbaijani counterparts to attend Russian Energy Week, an international forum scheduled to be held in Moscow on October 14-16, 2026.

The forum brings together government officials, energy companies and industry experts to discuss developments and future prospects in the Russian and global energy sectors.
