The United States has not stopped providing intelligence and strategic information to Ukraine’s armed forces, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in an official statement.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Sputnik Armenia, that Rubio was responding to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s claims in a Sunday interview with NBC that Washington had temporarily suspended intelligence sharing with Kyiv before restoring it.

The U.S. secretary of state said he did not understand where Zelenskyy had obtained what he described as baseless information or why he had presented it to the media in that way.

“There has been no interruption or suspension in the provision of intelligence,” the head of the U.S. foreign policy department said.

Rubio acknowledged, however, that a technical software problem had affected information-sharing systems several days ago. He said the U.S. military and relevant intelligence agencies were investigating the incident.

Rubio advised Ukraine’s leadership to focus not on unfounded claims but on bringing the conflict to an early end through diplomacy.

“Zelenskyy should focus directly on ending the conflict. We are fully focused on bringing this war to an end, and that is the main issue he should be concentrating on,” Rubio said.

The secretary of state added that an immediate halt to military operations in Ukraine and the establishment of peace were top priorities in U.S. President Donald Trump’s foreign policy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly said Moscow intends to end the conflict peacefully as soon as possible and is ready for negotiations. The Russian leader has said, however, that Ukraine’s leadership has not shown a comparable willingness to make peace.

U.S. President Donald Trump, for his part, has expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as Zelenskyy’s failure to take a constructive approach to peace agreements, saying Ukraine needs a new leader willing to reach genuine compromises with Russia.
