US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has congratulated the people of Armenia on Independence Day on behalf of the US government.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the US Department of State press service issued an official statement to this effect.
According to the statement, Rubio said in his congratulatory letter that the United States supports Armenia’s progress toward a more peaceful, prosperous and democratic future. The secretary of state praised the “historic steps” taken between Washington and Yerevan over the past year and expressed hope that the partnership would deepen further.
Referring specifically to regional infrastructure, Rubio said the United States was optimistic about implementing the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) initiative, strengthening economic ties, attracting US investment and creating new opportunities for the entire region.
