Rubio: Qəzzanın 70 faizinin işğalı ABŞ-nin planı deyil

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed questions regarding Israel's intentions in the Gaza Strip during his testimony before a House subcommittee.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that during discussions concerning US President Donald Trump's budget request for the 2027 fiscal year, Democratic Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro questioned Rubio regarding reports of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive to seize 70 percent of the Gaza territory.

Rubio emphasized that the aforementioned plan has no connection to the United States' strategy. He noted that the US maintains its own distinct roadmap, stating:

"We have a plan, and that plan does not envision such a step. Even if Netanyahu has made such a statement, it is not part of our plan."

The Secretary of State also addressed the issue of financial aid to Gaza. According to Rubio, no financial support will be provided to the region unless Hamas is disarmed. He explained this approach by stating, "The international community is concerned about the potential for a new war. Providing financial aid without security guarantees is considered risky."

This exchange highlights the ongoing diplomatic complexities between the United States and Israel regarding the post-conflict governance and security architecture of Gaza. The US administration has consistently advocated for a framework that ensures long-term stability in the region, often emphasizing the necessity of demilitarization and the establishment of a sustainable security environment before large-scale reconstruction efforts can proceed.
