Road repair and restoration works are currently underway on two major thoroughfares in Baku, according to the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA).
The agency informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that these infrastructure improvements have necessitated temporary traffic restrictions to ensure the safety of both workers and motorists.
Specifically, Khan Shushinski Street, spanning from Rashid Behbudov Street to Vagif Street, will be completely closed to traffic starting from 10:00 today until 07:00 on July 4. Furthermore, traffic on Huseyn Javid Avenue, from Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev Street to Lev Landau Street, will be partially restricted from 10:00 today until 22:00 tomorrow. Following this, the avenue will be fully closed to traffic from 22:00 tomorrow until 07:00 on July 6.
The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads advises drivers to utilize alternative routes during these specified periods to avoid congestion. These maintenance efforts are part of the ongoing urban infrastructure development program in Baku, aimed at improving road safety and traffic flow in the capital of Azerbaijan, which has seen significant modernization of its transport network in recent years.
