Traffic movement on Najafgulu Rafiyev Street in Baku's Khatai district will be restricted from 22:00 on May 5 until 06:00 on May 8 due to scheduled road repair works.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) issued the statement regarding the closure of the section between 8 November Avenue and Babek Avenue.
"Drivers are requested to show understanding regarding the ongoing works and to use alternative routes in accordance with their directions of travel in advance," the official statement noted. The agency emphasized that these measures are necessary to ensure the long-term quality and safety of the capital's road infrastructure.
Baku has been undergoing extensive infrastructure modernization in recent years to improve traffic flow and urban connectivity. The Khatai district, where the repairs are taking place, serves as a vital industrial and residential hub in the capital. These routine maintenance projects are part of a broader state initiative to upgrade the transport network across Azerbaijan, ensuring that major thoroughfares meet international standards for safety and efficiency.
